The more you bend it, the more you cut off counterattacks.
Once a big fish is hooked, the bend comes right up to you.
It looks crooked.
However, even if it encounters an unexpected counterattack from here, it will follow, gradually blocking the prey's path and not letting it escape.
The one and only tone is there.
"I can stop it without making it rampage."
DAIWA FIELD TESTER
Takashi Yamamoto

My first impression was that it was supple. Even if you are thrust into a fish, it will bend according to the pull and you can stop it without letting it go wild. Still, the swing condition is sharp, and the injection is well controlled. I think it's a rod that has evolved in its own direction and has a unique tone and feel.
"You can attack while protecting even with thin line."
DAIWA FIELD TESTER
Takashi Tanaka

The stickiness after bending is amazing. Even if you feel that the bend has reached its limit, it will give you a cushion without pushing you from there, so you can develop aggressive exchanges while protecting the line even if you are using fine leader. The shake that tends to occur when you ride on the torso is suppressed, and you can accurately operate delicate line using small floats.

Features
The design concept is to achieve both tracking power and operability.
If you simply describe the condition of the NEW MEGADIS AGS, it can be said that it is a “soft bend”. Among them, we have reviewed everything from the selection of materials to the placement and design from scratch, and succeeded in creating a unique tone that follows the pull of the fish even after making a big bend. As the rod bends, it always stops bending at a certain level and loses its elasticity. When this happens, there is no choice but to send out the line to deal with it, but the NEW MEGADIS AGS suppresses excessive tension in the 2nd to 5th joints and is designed with an emphasis on follow-up performance, so that the fish will not run wild without even having to send out the line. You can stop running and enjoy controllable interactions.
A rod that bends greatly up to the torso tends to shake the torso. A rod that bends in the wind and stops slowly at the tip not only has poor operability, but also causes problems such as thread entanglement in the guide. It suppresses the torso blur that tends to occur in flexible rods, and provides sharp and light operability. Newly adopted technologies such as the lightweight "AGS" TYPE-0 (zero) and V-JOINTα also contribute greatly to the suppleness and straightness of the spine. The stickiness that is squeezed out the more you bend it, and the ability to follow the pull of the fish, are unique to the NEW MEGADIS AGS. Sticky blanks that can be straightened without putting out a line will be a big advantage in the biggest game here.
*This table is a guideline to make it easier to intuitively grasp how the rod bends (rod condition) and the image of the bend. It is different from the power of the actual rod.

At a constant load, the tip is in this position, but when the load increases further, the effect of V-JOINTα bends smoothly without being too tight, and it is in a condition to follow the sudden pull of the fish.

Equipped with a high-strength ceramic N-ring on a carbon frame, the "AGS" brings unprecedented lightness and sensitivity. The tip is also lighter, making it possible to operate delicate lines, and the forward tilting type of the guide frame greatly reduces thread entanglement. Furthermore, "AGS" TYPE-0 (zero) has expanded the projected area with a 0 (zero) shape guide ring and improved the line discharge performance by up to about 150%. Higher-grade line control has been realized.

■ Guide frame shape that reduces thread entanglement on the guide

━━━The line that passed through the guide
━━━The thread part that came out of the top guide
Thread entanglement that occurs unexpectedly during strong winds

The line escapes with a shape that is difficult to get tangled.

Tangled lines are released without being tied
■ 0 (zero) shape ring with improved line discharge performance
By making the high-strength ceramic N-ring 0 (zero) shape, the inner area of the guide is greatly expanded.

Daiwa Technlogy

■ ESS [Expert Sense Simulation]
Kansei Area Design System "ESS" When the rod bends, energy (restoring force) is generated to try to get up in the opposite direction. This is the "strain energy" that the deformed (distorted) blank tries to return to its original state, and is an extremely important factor that determines the performance of the rod. DAIWA has developed a system that analyzes and designs this "strain energy". In addition to clearly grasping "where is superior" and "where is lacking" numerically, it is possible to reflect the area called expert's sensibility on the rod. An innovative rod design system "ESS" that creates a rod that exceeds the ideal.

■ AGS [air guide system]
Lightweight and highly sensitive air guide system "AGS". The lightness of the carbon frame improves flight distance and control performance. Carbon, which has about three times the rigidity of titanium, has high sensitivity that directly transmits to the blank without absorbing a slight signal transmitted through the line. Both single foot and double foot are available in more variations in size and shape. In addition, the next generation "AGS" equipped with newly developed lightweight rings "C ring (cobalt alloy)" and "N ring (siliconite)" has appeared. I can't take my eyes off the evolution of "AGS".

■ V-JOINT α [V-joint alpha]
Stronger, lighter and more beautiful than V-JOINT with high-strength materials including Nanoplus and Daiwa's unique ultra-high-precision rod design and manufacturing technology.

■X45
"45°" is optimal for preventing X45 twisting. Optimal structure to prevent twisting that revolutionizes power and operability. By wrapping DAIWA's unique bias cloth (such as carbon fiber diagonally at ±45°) around the conventional structure (0°, 90° to the tip of the rod), twisting is prevented and power, operability, and sensitivity are greatly improved. significantly improved. *The strongest "45°" X structure against twisting is used for naming. "X Torque" has been renamed to "X45" as a global trademark.

■ MEGATOP [mega top]
Mega Top is a carbon solid with evenly dispersed fibers and resins, showing the same bend in all directions. Furthermore, the strength is dramatically improved compared to normal carbon solids. This makes it possible to create thin, flexible, and highly tapered tips. In addition to the sensitivity that resonates with the hand peculiar to carbon materials, the visual sensitivity that appears on the tip has also been greatly improved.

■ AIR_SENSOR_SEAT [air sensor seat]
"Air sensor sheet" with carbon fiber that achieves light weight, high strength, and high sensitivity. Special design according to the application realizes operability that cannot be experienced with general-purpose reel seats.

■ HVF NANOPLUS
"High-density HVF carbon", which reduces the amount of resin and increases the density of carbon fiber instead, is the ideal material for rods that emphasize stickiness and strength. By combining them with the manufacturing method, it is possible to further increase the strength and reduce the weight.

■ NANOPLUS
Toray Industries, Inc.'s Nanoalloy (R ) Technology-adaptive materials are optimized for each model using Daiwa's unique design and manufacturing methods, enabling further strength and weight reduction of rod blanks.

■ CARBON TECHNOLOGY
DAIWA focuses on improving the functionality of the carbon sheet, which has the greatest impact on the performance of the rod, not only by increasing the elasticity of the carbon fiber itself, but also by increasing the amount of resin that acts as an adhesive to hold the carbon fibers together. By reducing the amount of resin, which can be said to be fat, and increasing the density of carbon fiber, which is the muscle, we have developed a stronger and lighter carbon sheet. We pursue the ideal condition by combining these various types of carbon sheets in the right place.

■ IC GUARD [IC Guard]
Vertical I-shaped and circumferential C-shaped, double protrusions reduce stickiness of the line due to rain and tide. The synergistic effect with the highly durable water-repellent super coat realizes more comfortable lin
